CREW BIOS

ANDRE´ JOSEPH

Director/Executive Producer/Screenwriter

Andre´ has had a love for movies from a very early age. Mr. Joseph attended the New York Film Academy in 2001 where he first gained experience working with film and later graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emerson College in 2006 where he received a degree in Visual and Media arts. In 2008, Mr. Joseph formed his own New York based independent film production company, AJ Epyx Productions, LLC. The company’s first feature film, Priceless, which Mr. Joseph wrote, starred, and directed, opened at Tribeca Cinemas in October 2008 and was selected for exhibition at the NY International Independent Film & Video Festival in March 2009. The film is now available on DVD at Amazon.com and eStore. Their second feature film, Dishonorable Vendetta, won the award for “Best Firefight” at the 2015 Urban Action Showcase sponsored by Cinemax. Most recent projects include the dramatic short film Night Stream which was nominated for 4 World Music & Independent Film Festival awards including winner for Best Supporting Actor and the short comedy Tempted which premiered at the Garden State Film Festival in March 2015.

J.R. CARTER

Executive Producer

J.R. is a retired Robbery Homicide detective for the New York City Police Department. Originally from Los Angeles, Mr. Carter has numerous film credits including minor roles in films such as The Winning Season, Notorious, and Cop Out. On television, Mr. Carter appeared in multiple episodes of HBOʼs Bored to Death and FXʼs Damages. In 2015, Mr. Carter made his screenwriting and directorial debut with the dramatic short film The Question which premiered at the Philadelphia International Film Festival. He currently studies acting at Playhouse West Brooklyn Lab under actor and teacher Jim Parrack who is also one of the stars of the Warner Bros. film adaptation of D.C. Comics’ Suicide Squad.

KALEN ERIKSSON

Associate Producer

Kalen is an independent director and producer with the production company, TriFilm Pictures. Mr. Eriksson has been involved with all facets of the filmmaking process since a young age, and is responsible for overseeing the creative and technical aspects of production from start to finish for every project TriFilm Pictures takes on. Currently working with Blue Sky Studios, Mr. Eriksson’s networking within Manhattan and the tri-state area allows for a wide variety of talent, locations and resources for any given production.​

GEORGE GIBSON

Director of Photography

George is a professional cinematographer with over 20 years of experience in feature films, short films, and documentaries about artists. Among his 22 film credits include the following highlights: The Romanian short film Esther which he co-produced and won Best Short Film at the 2013 Athens International Film & Video Festival; Bobby G. Can’t Swim which won several awards at AFI Fest, Festroia, and the Florida Film Festival; Don’t Ask Don’t Tell which won Best Feature at the Boston Underground Film Festival and Neufchatel International Fantasy Film Festival; and National Lampoons Snatched starring Andrew McCarthy, Jonathan Silverman, and the late Ernest Borgnine.​

ERIC J. COHEN

Editor

Eric is a videographer, producer and editor. Past work includes editing the music video for Tina Siciliano's single "Mesmerized," directed by Andre´ Joseph along with other short films and video projects for numerous artists. He also conceived and directed animated music videos for chart topping Norwegian performers Mohr and co-produced/co-hosted the popular internet film discussion series "The CineFiles." While the bulk of his editing and motion design is featured in many branded videos throughout the internet, Eric has also been an actor, a playwright and a director of the NY stage.​

MATTHEW HACKETT

Music

Matthew is a Staten Island native specializing not only in music composition but also sound design. He previously worked with Andre´ Joseph as an actor in Dishonorable Vendetta, composed music for the Sleigh Bells in Springtime book promo trailer, and composed music for the TASTE Program conflict resolution promotional video. He previously composed Andre´ Joseph’s short films Night Stream and The Dinner. Other music credits include the short films Wake Up Grey and The Mid-Level.​
